I graduated from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia in 1980. The majority of chiropractic students had experienced life changing results from chiropractic care after traditional medical care failed to help them.
Chiropractic care changes lives. The phrase "pay it forward" is a major motivating factor in the chiropractic community.
Chiropractors are dedicated professionals who want to help others discover that true health begins when you realize that create the environment for your body to heal naturally.
Back pain, headaches and numerous other health problems are often caused by underlying spinal problems called subluxations. Chiropractic care helps correct these problems with a treatment called a chiropractic adjustment (a type of spinal manipulation done by hand). Adjustments make the spine more flexible, improve posture, and stimulates the body's ability to heal.
Chiropractic care has helped millions of people experience life altering recoveries. Many of my patients had suffered for years and thought that their only options were, to live with the pain, take medication, or risk surgery which doesn't necessarily restore a person to 100% and can sometimes make the condition worse.
Many people are thrilled when they discover that chiropractic care was the solution they were searching for. Patients often regain a level of health that they thought was gone forever.
Chiropractic care usually relieves pain, but it can also do more. Patients who follow my recommendations often discover that chiropractic care improves their overall quality of life in unexpected ways.
When people aren't restricted by pain, they discover they can become more active again. Being physically active, enables patients to enjoy a happier healthier future.
I feel blessed to be a chiropractor. I know that people have a God given ability to be healthier, but we must learn how to take care for our body properly to enjoy this blessing.
If you want to make better health a priority! I urge you contact my office to discover how proper spinal care can help you transform your life.
I truly enjoy being a chiropractor, and I look forward to helping many more people in the years ahead.

Back pain is the leading cause of disability worldwide. Almost everyone experiences back pain, and it can have a devastating impact your quality of life.
Headaches, according to the World Health Organization, are the most common problem in the world.
Chiropractic care has helped millions of people with these conditions!

Many people ignore back pain for years until the pain becomes disabling, and then they seek care.
The World Health Organization ranks Low Back Pain (LBP) as the single leading cause of disability worldwide!
LBP impacts your ability to be active, your relationships, and your career. Many people stop exercising if it causes pain. A sedentary lifestyle often leads to weight gain, and other health issues.
Back pain impacts your career, and how you relate to others emotionally.
Overcoming or reducing the frequency and intensity helps you feel better, enables you to be more active, and have better relationships.
Discover why patients tell me that chiropractic not only relieved their pain, it changed their life!
As a chiropractor I have helped patients get out of pain quickly and make a full recovery. A typical patient discovers that they can enjoy activities that they thought they would never be able to do again and that they no longer worry about constant pain.
I have been in practice for 44 years, have helped 1,000's of patients, I keep care affordable, and I love to help patients get well and live a more pain free life.
If you have questions, call for a consultation, or set up an appointment so I can determine if you would be a good candidate for care. I only accept patients I believe I can help.

When I entered the field of chiropractic, I was skeptical. I trust medical doctors, I know they are smart. If chiropractic really worked, I felt the medical community would embrace this approach.
Some MD's do embrace chiropractic, but most don't.
Chiropractic has gained acceptance the old fashion way, by consistently helping patients. Many of the patients I take care of tried various medical treatments prior to seeking chiropractic care. The only reason people try chiropractic is that they were not satisfied with the response they had to medical care.
Patients initially tried chiropractic out of desperation. Many patients are surprised when they discover how much this type of treatment helps.
The majority of our new patients are referred by their friends who have had positive chiropractic experiences. Word of mouth referrals has helped millions of people discover how to get well without taking medication and avoiding spinal surgery.
When medical doctors work with chiropractors' the patient wins!
The key to obtaining excellent results is following the treatment recommendations, and if a during an examination I find that medical management is necessary I will recommend a medical consultation also.
According to a study performed by the United Nations Headaches are the most common health disorder in the world. The World Health Organization reported that half to three quarters of the world's population between 18 - 65 experienced a tension or migraine headache in the past year.
Over the years I have taken care of numerous patients with migraines, tension headaches, and headaches associated with allergies.
The overwhelming majority of patients who suffer with frequent headaches experience relief from chiropractic care. Many patients notice headaches ease within 30 minutes of an adjustment.
I am committed to providing the highest quality of care to my patients. I have dedicated my life to helping people find quick relief from acute and chronic pain and then develop a strategy to maintain a better quality of life. I have seen chiropractic care exceed patient expectations many times. Spinal adjustments are also one of the safest approaches a person can utilize to treat and manage back pain and other spinal related conditions.
Chiropractors know the body has an amazing natural ability to heal itself. Chiropractic care focuses on restoring normal function by adjusting the spine by hand, to relieve nerve irritation, which promotes natural healing.
I perform full spine adjustments, and I usually take x-rays on site if necessary. My patients range in age from infants to 90+ years of age.
At the Bloomingdale Chiropractic, I work with many insurance companies in an effort to reduce the direct cost to the patient. I work to keep my fees affordable because some insurance companies either don't cover care or have very limited coverage. Fees can be tricky because if insurance doesn't cover, patients think they cannot afford to come in for care. If the doctor is affordable, some patients think that the care must be of lower quality. I believe it is unethical to have a great service if people cannot afford to come in for care. I treat people not pocketbooks, and I do my best to keep care affordable.
I believe in the importance of patient education. I host in office health classes, consultations, and free reports to help people understand the chiropractic approach to health problems. I personally review all findings and x-rays with new patients before they begin care so they can understand their problem and the recommended treatment.
Chiropractic is extremely safe. Insurance rates are based on risk and claims. In 1982 my malpractice insurance premium was $140.00 for the year. Today my malpractice insurance is $2,048.00.
An Orthopedic Surgeon's malpractice rates vary from $40,000 to $150,000 per year. The higher cost reflects the risk of the procedure. The higher cost does not imply that the are "bad" doctors, it just reveals that statistically medications and surgery can be risky, and outcomes are never guaranteed.
Spinal adjustments have a proven track record as being safe, and patient outcomes are good.

Our chiropractic adjustments are safe, non-invasive, and effective. I use a variety of techniques to restore your body's natural alignment, relieve pain, and improve your function and mobility.
I understand that every patient is unique, which is why I develop custom treatment plans tailored to your individual needs and goals. I will create a plan that works for you.
I believe that proper nutrition is an essential part of maintaining good health. I talk with patients and give practical advice about eating habits and explain how better food choices impact your health.
Therapy localization is a form of applied kinesiology that uses the body's energy to identify stresses and strains in the extremities. This technique can help me identify and correct problems in the feet, ankles, knees, hips, as well as wrists and hands.
Therapy localization of the cranial sinuses can also reduce congestion associated with allergies and colds.
Once identified, then I perform specific adjustments to correct those problems.
I'm proud to offer pediatric chiropractic care to help children maintain optimal health and wellness. Our gentle, non-invasive treatments have helped children with a variety of conditions, such as ear infections, asthma, and overall wellness.
A woman in her late 20's had been suffering with severe neck pain. She had been to 3 orthopedic doctors who examined her and said there was nothing wrong. They referred her to a psychiatrist because they thought her problem was emotional, not physical.
This patient went for several psychiatric appointments and just felt she wasn't going to the right type of doctor.
The patient came to my office and as soon as I examined her and looked at her x-rays I knew what was causing her pain. I adjusted her neck and the patient looked at me and said I have been looking for this for years.

A 68 year old man had severe arthritis in his spine. This person's spine was extremely stiff and it was almost impossible for the man to stand up straight.
The patient stated that when he woke up in the morning that for most of the morning he walked around with his face to the floor. He said that by about noon he could stand reasonably straight.
After the person started to get adjusted within the first month the spine began to become flexible again.
After about 3 months of care, the man could jump out of bed and start the day.
This man went to his 50th high school reunion and danced the Jitterbug!
A woman who was 42 came into my office. This woman had lived with back pain for most of her life. She stated that she suffered with back pain as long as she could remember. She had it when she was in high school (28 years ago) and the pain was always there. This woman was quite heavy (obese), but I explained that although weight does place additional strain on the spine, that the real problem was with her spine, not her weight. I explained that many skinny people suffer with back pain.
As this woman began care pain free days became her new normal. Her personality changed and because she just seemed joyful. Her sister came into the office and told me: "Dr. Brewster, you have no idea how much you've helped my sister. She was always in pain and now she's not."
An 18 year old was referred to my office by another patient. During the consultation I asked this young patient "What do you think is the source of your problem?" He told me that he thought it was old age setting in, and he was serious!
I looked at him and told him that his problem wasn't old age, that it was a spinal problem. This person's back pain began when he was in elementary school.
This patient responded very well to care, as most patients do, and his friends could just see that he was experiencing a state of joy.
One of his friends told him he looked happy and asked him if he had a girlfriend, and the patient stated that he was just happy because it felt good not to be in pain everyday.
The patient stated that no, he was just happy because he wasn't living in pain anymore, and that brought him joy!
Patrick was 4 years old. His mother and father were typical patients who started because of back pain and headaches, and they continued getting adjusted maintain a better level of health.
One day they called and said they were going to be late, because their son was sick and they were coming directly from the pediatrician.
When they got to the office they told me that Patrick was just diagnosed with croup. I had heard of croup, but had never treated a patient with it before, but Patrick had a deep, barky, foghorn like cough that just kept repeating itself.
I asked his mother if I could adjust Patrick just to see if it would help. I have seen many ill people make a very rapid recovery after an adjustment, and I was confident that the adjustment would only be beneficial.
Patrick got his first adjustment, and after they left the office they drove 1.5 miles to pick up the prescription the MD called in.
Patricks' mother called me to tell me that his cough had reduced by 75% within 5 minutes after the adjustment, and the next day he was fine.
When people look at a retirement community, one of the most important items is a nice golf course!
A sad reality is that when people retire, they discover that the least important thing might be the golf course.
Many people sacrifice their health to earn wealth. When people lose their health, they have to spend their wealth in an effort to regain their health.
A patient who was 78 when he began care had been experiencing chronic neck and back problems. He found that chiropractic care significantly reduced his neck and lower back pain, and it also made his back more flexible.
This patient enjoys playing golf regularly. After 1 year of care, he was excited to report that he hit his first hole in one at the age of 79!
I am thrilled because I know that chiropractic care helped improve his overall quality of life, and having a more flexible spine helps him play golf to the best of his ability.

A woman who was 39 came into my office. This woman could hardly walk and was experiencing extreme pain from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet.
She explained that her car was hit by a tractor trailer and it then spun around 2 1/2 times after the impact.
After the accident she went to the hospital, and then to orthopedists, physiatrists, physical therapy and many, many doctors. The medical care helped very little, but the doctors told her that even though she was not responding, surgery wouldn't help either.
The accident happened 4 years ago, and even though she had received a lot of medical treatments she wasn't getting better.
The patient came in for a chiropractic evaluation. As she began getting adjusted the chronic pain began to ease.
After a few months she was able to take her son to the park. She said this was the first time in 4 years that she felt well enough to take him. A month later she was able to thoroughly clean her house. Another first since the accident.
A few years later this woman was able to coach her children's soccer team and run the drills!
20+ years later when this woman's son was getting married, she and her son took dance lessons for a special mother, son dance. She was living the dream!
I asked her what she thought her life would have looked like if she never had chiropractic care, and she responded that she would have probably been in a wheelchair.
